this is another action alert bill that needs to be stopped. It expands the places you can't carry to include the neighborhood parks as well as anywhere it can be claimed to be a park. Such as a green space in the downtown area where a bench may be placed.

Yes.

The proper course around preemption is to get the General Assembly to change the state law.

One needs to convince a lot more people than 6 city council members to get the rules changed.

I was hoping that they were just going to go after the preemption statute and try to get it repealed.

Of course they could add another exception to the three that exist, but this works too.

And they will do just that. Try to change the GA statute.
