Effectively says if another state honors our WL we will honor theirs. Or did I misread this one?

1. Covers "Weapons" now

2. Fixes the problem GA AG has with GA reciprocity carriers who are under 21 years old who are not allowed to carry in other states BC of age. (Virginia is an example)

Basically it says other states need not honor any licenses we issue to persons 18-20 years of age. The potential of such licenses caused an issue between Virginia and Georgia. Virginia passed legislation to fix this issue, but the Governor vetoed it last week. This bill is probably introduced in response to the news of that veto.

Amended to take effect upon signature and to require the Attorney General to maintain and post a reciprocity list on the state web site.

Substituted as amended.

We are working hard on getting the veto overridden. Do not be real surprised if it happens.

Even if that happens, there are other states with the same issue. Thankfully, our attorney general has not yet figured that out (yet). At least with HB 406, the attorney general would be prevented from pulling this nonsense again with another state other than Virginia.

Effectively down to 2 votes of dems to get it overridden. Still got some work to do but getting there.

Today is the last day to put on the pressure to get this bill up for a full House vote and sent over to the Senate.

It's Cross-over day.

Call the folks on the House Rules committee. Get them to vote.

So here's the facts...

the Yeas were 164 the Nays were 7

This bill having received the requisite constitutional majority is therefore passed (that was around 4PM)

Bill passed 50 to 3. Goes to the Governor's desk. If signed, it immediately becomes law.
