News article on the Swiss and guns.

"Young Swiss people think differently and don't want guns at home," he explains, adding that the European Union and the United Nations are also exerting considerable pressures to enforce tougher gun laws.
However, attitudes may well be changing: a recent survey shows that two out of three people want to ban army weapons from Swiss homes.

Plenty of them. A while back I was in an arguement on another board with a Swiss guy after one of the mall shootings (and again after VT). He was adamant that a complete ban was the way to go. He absolutely refused to accept that part of the reason crime is low in cheese & chocolate land is because they all go through military training, many have guns, and no one really knows who does & doesn't have a gun in their home. The guys was a typical anti & simply wouldn't listen to anything regardless of how much statistical data I posted. Frustrating.
