Would like to know if there is any requirement to register firearms. I have a few handguns that I have had for a long time and have no receipts for when I purchased them, some over 30 years ago. During several divorces and moves the receipts have gotten lost.

GA doesnt have any type of registration...unless you have a NFA type gun but that would be a federal registration

    Welcome to Ga. Packing.

By the way, you have a GWL. There is no such thing as a CCL (Concealed Carry License) I am guessing that is what you are calling it.

In Ga., you can openly carry or conceal. Your choice as long as you posess a "GWL". The old "Ga Firearms License" is now called a "GWL" also which stands for "Georgia Weapons License".

Like already said, there is no registration in the State of Ga.
