I was quite surprised to hear that it is REQUIRED for a license application to disclose your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, AND EMPLOYER"S NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER!!!

Hey Bugman, did they ask you for this info when you applied?

If it is on the form then I may need to have a chat with the people who make them.

The Department of Public Safety shall furnish application forms and license forms required by this Code section.

DPS may be adding stuff for the fun of it and the court clerks think that if it is on the form then it must be answered.

This is a state form, if it is on the form you must fill it out, completely. :roll:

I was thinking of contacting DPS and asking them for a current copy.

It would be very helpful if you have time to swing by there and pick up a blank application form.

In the next week or 2 I am going to the tag office, which shares the same parking lot with the building the probate court is in. I will also see if I can get a blank form.

I am pretty sure they do. They followed the law on everything else.
