New FBI Study Again Proves the Lie of Gun Control (BFA)

Criminals get guns illegally. They don’t buy guns at gun shows.
“Predominately handguns were used…and all but one were obtained illegally, usually in street transactions or in thefts. In contrast to media myth, none of the firearms in the study was obtained from gun shows.â€

Criminals use any gun available. They don’t distinguish between “bad†guns and “good†guns.
“What was available ‘was the overriding factor in weapon choice,’ the report says. Only 1 offender hand-picked a particular gun ‘because he felt it would do the most damage to a human being.’â€

Criminals don’t obey gun laws of any kind.

“…none of the attackers interviewed was ‘hindered by any law - federal, state or local - that has ever been established to prevent gun ownership. They just laughed at gun laws.’â€

Criminals shoot indiscriminately and don’t care what they hit or kill.
“Twenty-six of the offenders [about 60%], including all of the street combat veterans, ‘claimed to be instinctive shooters, pointing and firing the weapon without consciously aligning the sights,’ the study says. ...as one of the offenders put it: ‘[W]e’re not working with no marksmanship....We just putting it in your direction, you know....It don’t matter...as long as it’s gonna hit you...if it’s up at your head or your chest, down at your legs, whatever....Once I squeeze and you fall, then...if I want to execute you, then I could go from there.’â€

Criminals are ready and willing to kill instantly.
“…the study team ‘did not realize how cold blooded the younger generation of offender is. They have been exposed to killing after killing, they fully expect to get killed and they don’t hesitate to shoot anybody, including a police officer. They can go from riding down the street saying what a beautiful day it is to killing in the next instant.’â€

Criminals are utterly ruthless. They have no respect for your safety.
“‘Offenders typically displayed no moral or ethical restraints in using firearms,’ the report states. ‘In fact, the street combat veterans survived by developing a shoot-first mentality.’â€

Is there anything here that surprises you? Do you think the media will report these facts? Do you believe this study will change the minds of gun control proponents? Of course not. But we can continue to hope that as the years pass and as the truth relentlessly proves the lie and uselessness of gun control, people will start to get the message.

nope they wont get it until crime overrides the abililty to enforce it. Which I dont see happening. Then they still wont get it and call for more "gun control measures".

Even if it happenes to them, I think most would still call for more control! To think people are loosing their desire to defend themselves. One quality my grandfather said is lost in the American people. Which he also says is a play on words now.

If the media actually provided supported facts, I thnk life would be very different.

The anti's see:

Criminals get guns illegally, either through theft or street transactions. The only way to stop this is to get guns out of everyones hands, so they can't be stolen and then used in crimes. The only way to do this is to stop the manufacture, sale and ownership of any type of firearm.

What they fail to realize that the 100 million or whatever guns in America will never go away... even with a total ban on ownership. If they weren't easily available, they would get shipped in through Mexico just like drugs. Guns are NOT going away... not even close in this country. Our only option is to even the playing field. One way to do it is to get rid of criminals. You can't do this by making half the population one of them. Another way is to remove any disparity of force by making the same weapons they have available to us. I'm sure there are other reasons, but gun control is just plain retarded.

Of course, you could always read the constitution and avoid the issue entirely, but why bother with that when you could make a campaign issue out of it.
