Why oppose HB 875 putting guns in schools. Because children should be competing for GPAs, not for hiding places under their desks. #BadBill

    Stacey Abrams‏Verified account @staceyabrams 18 Feb 2014

Why I oppose HB 875? Because respect for the 2nd amendment does not mean ignoring the consequences of gun possession and misuse. #BadBill

    Stacey Abrams‏Verified account @staceyabrams 18 Feb 2014

My job as a legislator is to protect our citizens from gun violence and to protect lawful gun possession. HB 875 does not protect either.

Why fight HB 859 - the Arm Your Campus Predator bill? B/c 18 y/o girls won't have guns but their assailants might. Tell your rep to vote NO.

HB 280, the dangerous "campus carry" bill, will be heard at 4pm. Find details here: http://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/here-how-georgia-campus-carry-gun-bill-likely-changed-today-committee/2g0c2kxZgNAellbBJPwarM/ … #GeorgiaResists #gapol

Most of them "support the Second Amendment BUT..."

    Butters.

But... the Republicans running will step up their game talk on supporting our rights. The real trick will be zoning in on who will really back it up with honest action to restore our liberty.

Mr. Hill has opposed pro-liberty bills in the past, so his rhetoric is looked upon with suspicion.

    thanks.

Thanks, I didn't recognize that name. The first thing that came to my mind was that felon that got elected Sheriff.

He passed out antigun (momzdemand) literature ( attached his card as required by senate rules ) on the senate floor directly before a vote on Sine Die. I was there. My senator alerted me and brought the propaganda to me in the hall outside the chamber.

In other words, he tries to keep his anti-gun belief off the record. If he were in a critical position, the swing vote, the veto pen, etc. all bets are off.

So opposing them off record but voting for them on record when it looks like they will pass with or without him.

    What a two-facer.

Wow. From what you have said he would seem quite the slick operator....not. Unfortunately this is the type "politician" that makes many Americans think that all politicians are two-faced, self-serving, hypocrites that they want nothing to do with. Glad that our State Senate did not go his direction.
