Has anyone here used a Gould and Goodrich holster? I was at Southeastern Firearms durring lunch today browsing holsters and they have a G&G 3 slot leather pancake holster with thumb break to fit my 1911 for $41. Im considering buying an off the shelf holster for this one instead of having custom leather made for it.

I have two of their SOB (Small Of Back for all you acronym illiterates out there) holsters, The quality is good and they seem to work, the only problem is if you use them a lot you will find small holes in your cover shirt almost like what moths make. If I am wearing one of my leather vests there is no problem. I had a great ankle holster made by them but I never felt comfotable wearing it, I am a big guy so for me to be able to bend over and get my back up is like watching a very fat cat lick it's private parts. It just don't look natural.
