I have one Kel-Tec for concealed carry only. Who thinks this would make a good one for those open carry days, strolling down Peachtree Street in Atlanta on a sunny day?

I have seen the times I would have felt a lot better with it than I did with my Glock and 46 rounds available to me.

I'd like to shoot one.

It really does look like something from 1979 - Star Wars.

To tell the truth, I have a friend in another state who is SERIOUSLY considering using that as his CCW.

If you've ever shot a .223 in an SBR then you should realize that in a pistol, this is pushing the envelope. You can almost start your sleeve on fire with one of these.. plus the ballistics of the .223 round at 3 feet aren't worth it... IMHO. You're not going to get any good JHP's either.

I would open carry it just to buck the system. It's perfectly legal as long as you have a good retention holster. Bad thing is, it would scare the crap out of everyone and probably hurt the cause overall. Might as well use a FiveSeven... less likely to alert the super citizen cops and tree huggers and has pretty much the same effect at the range you would use it.

Kel-Tek PLR-16 for carry

Guys,
I wish I was smart enough to post a picture of my PLR-16 but alas I just don't seem to have what it takes for these new fangled computers. My PLR-16 is fully tricked out and I think it would turn heads if I could carry it open, and quite possibly my back as they are putting on the handcuffs. By the way this thing is as close to recoiless as you can get because of the design of the recoil spring.
It does turn heads at the outdoor range.
Take care and stay safe,
TJ

tj2000, to post a picture, first it has to be hosted somewhere, and then you link to it.

I don't know how to do it, either.

PLR-16

Asbrand,
It is quite easy to shoot one handed. By the design of the recoil spring it is practicly recoiless. I need an updated picture because I just put an izzy break on it and it looks even more cool. BTW, this sucker is LOUD because it is a very short rifle caliber. I have to say it is louder than my desert eagle 50 AE. But you talk about turning heads at the out door range.
Take care,
TJ :minigun:

I think that gun embodies just about everything gun-controllers fear about handguns.
If you could figure out a way to add legs and some way for it to shoot by itself at random times, you would have it.

Good job! =D>
