Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund has a chance to elect
GOA Life Member Dr. Paul Broun to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Broun made it into the runoff election following the June 19 special
election to fill the seat of recently-deceased Rep. Charles Norwood.

The runoff is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17. The winner
will immediately become the next congressman from Georgia's 10th
district.

Broun has been an active sportsman and firearms activist for years,
and is currently a GOA Life Member. He feels very deeply about the
Second Amendment -- indeed, about the entire Constitution. Working to
get rid of gun control laws is something that Broun believes in.

Please do what you can to help Broun win the special election on June
19. You can donate online by going to
http://www.paulbroun.com/111.html(a special section just for GOA
supporters). Or, you can write a check made out to Paul Broun
Committee and mail it to P.O. Box 7165, Athens, GA 30604.

If you happen to live in Georgia and think you can volunteer to help
Dr. Broun's campaign, information is available at his main website:
http://www.paulbroun.com

We have a chance to put a true friend of gun owners in the House of
Representatives, so please donate what you can today. Time is of the
essence.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Tim Macy
Vice-Chairman

I live in the 10th. I have supported Dr. Broun since he spoke at the annual meeting of the shooting club I belong to in April and voted for him in June. I have been trying to drum up support for him for the run-off since the election. It's uphill since Whitehead (the GOP establishment's chosen canidate) came close to winning outright the first time around but I'm not giving up hope.

I live in the 7th, but I keep getting campaign info on him. It's gotten pretty nasty between he and Whitehead. The NRA endorsed Whitehead, but GOA has endorsed Broun. Broun is a member of the Athens Rifle Club, but I've never met him.

He was also president of the Georgia Sport Shooting Association (Georgia's state NRA affiliate) until he launched his campaign. I think the NRA endorsing Whitehead is just wrong. They see him as more likely to win, so to hell with what the canidates believe. Just have to be able to tell the members that the canidate we endorsed won.

I'm definitely voting for Broun in the runoff. I don't really understand how the NRA comes up with their endorsements. Broun is the president of the state NRA affiliate organization and doesn't get it in favor of someone who isn't even a gun enthusiast. I wonder if it's not an anti-GOA sentiment in the NRA offices that partially caused it.

Neither he nor GSSA supported what NRA did last year in the General Assembly with HB 89 (first hand knowledge). I don't know if that has anything to do with it. It could be just coincidence.

I'm eager to go to Washington to fight for returning to Constitutional government as James Madison meant for it to be. I started being active politically by lobbying in Washington for hunters' rights and Second Amendment rights as a VP for Safari Club International. I believe any law that interferes with a citizens God given right to own or use a firearm in a legal manner to be un-Constitutional. I'm eager to work ardently to remove those Federal gun control laws that are now on the books and fight against any new ones.

We need to elect more of those.

Well I guess that explains the NRA not endorsing him since yhey are on record as supporting the clearly unconstitutional NFA.
