wsweeks2 stikes me as the type of guy that would use a synthetic log...

No "presto" logs for me! Only the real deal, Oak baby! I hear that them "presto" logs break the first time you use em and don't even have enough power to kill a koala bear much less a griz...

USMC probably uses that expensive old growth oak.

I was looking at a few of the cheaper logs the other day... USMC do you like the grips to be rough for owb log carry or smooth (debarked) for easier draw from concealment?
