Just received word from Gander Mountain Snellville Store that we are approved to set up our table and Canopy for the Grand Opening weekend at the Snellville store October 3rd and 4th!

The Gander Mountain Snellville store is located at 1200 Scenic Hwy, Ste G, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.

For those familiar with the area, this is in the same shopping Center as Hobby Lobby, and at the Intersection of Essex Drive and Georgia Hwy 124.

As this is going to be a HUGE crowd, we anticipate a need to have multiple volunteers for every hour we are there!

The Hours on Saturday (October 3, 2015) are going to be 10:00am until around 6:00pm. If folks are signing up and volunteers are willing to stay, we can stay longer.

On Saturday they are going to have a ribbon cutting ceremony first, so the store manager recommends getting there by 08:00am to begin setup as the ribbon cutting is expected to draw a HUGE crowd beforehand.

I will need one volunteer to meet me at the store by 08:00am on Saturday to assist with setup.

After that we will likely need 4 or more people every hour of the rest of the opening weekend.

The other stores on Sundays are open from 09:00 until 08:00pm.

Let's plan to have coverage on Sunday (October 4, 2015) from 09:00am until 6:00pm.

We are welcome to carry fully loaded.

IF you go into the store AND IF you want to have your carry weapon fitted for a holster or have the value appraised, you will be required to take the weapon to your car and unload it. Then upon return to the store go by Customer Service to get it "certified" as unloaded and safe. I cannot imagine anyone with GCO having an issue with that one rule.

Look forward to seeing EVERYONE on Saturday and Sunday, October 3rd and 4th!

    Thanks,

    Greg G

Do not have info on inside vs. outside at this time. Planning for outside. Canopy is 12 x 12, so we have room to operate covered unless wind is blowing.

This is a special post to thank all the people who came out to the Gander Mountain grand opening in Snellville, today, Saturday October 3, 2015!

I haven't started counting today's membership application sheets yet--and likely will not do them until tomorrow night--, but initial indications are that we signed up somewhere close to 50 people today between new members and renewals!

Keith, Hal, Howard, Alan, Ed, and one more I am unable to recall this evening as I am very tired, all manned the table in the wet and cool day and did a stellar job signing up people!

A genuine heartfelt THANK YOU to today's volunteers!

    Thanks!

P.S. Mark, I am hoping that the broken top plate is not too serious. We missed you today!
