I'm trying to read and understand all the laws and what not. So if you get a GA firearm license that allows you to carry a gun unconcealed or concealed. So you don't need a separate license to carry a concealed weapon, just the GFL. If you apply for a GFL and you don't fall under one of the exceptions for getting one, does that guarantee you'll get one? To carry concealed it has to be in some type of holster, correct?

Are you about to apply for your license? If so, what county? Would you mind reporting your personal experience back to us so we can update our county licensing page?

Yea I'm going to be applying, I'm in Barrow county which from what I've read on here seems to be slow. Anyways I'll report back on it of my experiences and when I actually get it.

dmx, they are not permitted to require your SSN. If they ask for it, whether you choose to disclose it or not is up to you. But, they can't refuse to process your application if you refuse to disclose it.
