i have to go to a funeral home because my wifes sister died the other day. ive tried searching for this but cant really find anything. is a funeral home somehow considered a place of worship or off limits somehow? is a cemetery considered a place of worship or off limits somehow?

Is it disrespectful for him to have a pistol discretely available when he knows a man who has issued death threats to him is likely to be present?
:?:
If there is a hostile relationship between you and the deceased's husband, I would consider not going. For both his sake and yours.
It sounds like you should pay your respect with flowers and a card. Risking getting into a fight you know could very easily happen at a funeral is probably not wise. Discretion is the better part of valor.

ok. reason im asking is because the dead sisters husband is going to be there, and he had made numerous death threats to me before. but in all honesty, if the punk acts up tomorrow, id rather just pound his face in. the worst part though, is i dont even know what he looks like. the sister had show him pictures of me, so he knows what i look like.

any idea about cemetery?
There is nothing wrong with defending yourself if you're in bodily harm, but otherwise the phrase "in one ear and out the other" comes to mind. It's a funeral, a day to show respect to your dead sister.
not my sister.
Still a day to show respect. If you're not there to show the dead woman/girl your final repects, then why attend?
if you knew my wife...... id be praying to wake up tomorrow with my ears sewn shut....

actually, there will be 2 people there who have threatened to kill me. one is the husband, and one is the dead sister.

Screw that. "Honey, have fun at your sister's funeral. See you when you get back."
2 threaten to kill him and another to sew his ears shut . . .

Family?

:D

Nothing in that means do not defend yourself if you have to, just don't go looking for trouble or starting it. Sorry if that wasn't made clear.

Personally I do not tend to "worship" in a funeral home....however......!
The more important question is: What did you do to get on their bad side? lol

Some reason I read it wrong but then ,

aggravated assault charge either way don't look good when you want to bear arms
Hopefully carrying at a funeral home isn't an issue - I cc'd at one just a few months ago.
270-

words of wisdom preached here day and night:

Concealed is concealed

It's that simple.. If they don't provoke any harm NO ONE will ever see that weapon. I'm not saying carry that Baby Eagle or 1911, but go low profile, make sure you dont print, and call it a night. You shouldnt ever have issues until they start trouble, at that point you will be 1 + up on them and if you had to protect yourself then the adage comes into affect:

Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Wow.. if this was verbage scrabble I would've completed a double verbage :D
