This is true, I traded a Rem. M700 VTR to my nephew in East Texas along with a box of .308 DRT. He shot a 209 lb buck, at 120 yds. thru the high rib area, 1" behind the shoulder blade. He said it bruised and punctured the tenderloins and made multiple small exit wounds, and the exit wounds were not collinear with the bullet path. Anyway he said he wouldn't use them for hunting again. And the buck ran 50 yds so no DRT.
