Others may say it. I mean it. I will never allow the government to take my firearms away from me ... ever. I am a firm believer that a government that has disarmed its populace is a government that no longer fears its populace.

Great Britain, Canada, Australia.... we are next. The UN along with our own government are fighting hard to ban arms and ammo.

It will be difficult to over come the blind power lust and dirty back door politics of some in our government.

One person on the video says " don't let them get the short end of the wedge in" I feel it's already there!!

once our guns are gone they are gone.

We better fight now with groups like the NRA and GCO. If we stand buy like those other countries and watch our right disappear. our only choice would be to climb on a building and vote from the rooftops.

I feel most will not cast that ballot.

I know of some people who live in New Orleans, ah, heck, let's just say it: Nobody in New Orleans stood up and resisted. They meekly handed them over.

And most people will.

It is a bad move to do much of anything once a bunch of nervous 19 year olds point M4 carbines at you.

You're right, MP, most will. Those 19 year olds will be told that you have molestered children with your evil guns, and you're not professional enough to have them. There are also the studies that show most members of the military would fire on Americans. Like Gizmo's deputy, they don't really understand the oath, they just wanna be HSLD.

Some folks, though, will stand up.The other gun owners will stay silent, turn in their weapons, and tell themselves, "It's ok, I'm doing the right thing, I have a family. I gotta do it for my children."

Those who stand up, or those who stash their firearms will be branded as the worst form of criminals. They will be demonized in the media and be considered worse than Nazis by the good folks of the US. Those who fight will be hunted down and killed as terrorists.

Anyone who questions the banning will be put on a list and watched by our domestic LEOs.

"Surely, M249, our government would never do such a thing!!! I mean, at a bare minimum, we will still have freedom of expression. We may not be able to own firearms, but we'll at least be able to voice our support for those who are fighting for that right! Anything else would be un-American!"

Are you sure?

How will they take all of the guns away from Americans? They can't take them all! How will it go down?

Unintended Consequences-John Ross, Enemies Foreign and Domestic-Matthew Bracken, Patriots-James Wesley Rawles....I don't know how we could be disarmed or what would happen as a result.

Seems I do remember something about a gun raid around Lexington a while back. Think it was April 19th 1775. Brave men fought back if I recall!!

1776-David McCullough.

According to The Oxford History of the American People 10 percent of the white population in the colonies was actively loyal, about 40 percent were actively revolutionist and about 50 percent were neutral during the American Revolution.

40% of Americans want to ban civilian-owned handguns

That leaves 60% who don't want to ban them. Of that 60%, what percentage do you think would actively resist confiscation in the event of a ban?

It's very easy to say, "Molon Labe," but I'll wager a very small minority will actively resist. If they have some success, others may join, however, most Americans will continue watching the football, baseball, E!, and American Idol, and they will believe that the resisters are nothing more than domestic terrorists.

M249 I believe you may be right. The only thing we can do is educate friends and others around us. If each of can convert 1 out of 20 to actively support thier 2nd amendment rights would increase our numbers by 5%. Seems like a small number but overall it could be enough to tip the balance.

I look for any oportunity to introduce new shooters to the sport, over half have purchaced a firearm within a month of thier experiance. I also encourage them to attend safety courses and further training beyond what I can provide. I really enjoy seeing more women getting involved too.

Our nation would have to lose it's soul before what happened in the UK happens here. It won't happen. Not for now. But it will happen.

You'll see slow, incremental changes... just like what has been happening. Next will be a permanent AW ban, then a ban on all semi-autos with a sunset provision, then a permanent ban on semi-autos, then a ban on handguns (not needed for hunting), then a ban on on all rifles. In the interim, they'll demonize and single out minority after minority... felons, people who assault family members, people who use drugs, people who have a history of going to the psychiatrist, people who are on "watch lists", people who aren't "normal", veterans with PTSD.

It won't happen in any of our lifetimes, but it will happen. The world is marching towards socialism like it or not. Most likely someone (I mean an entity other than a nation) will get a nuke and pretty much F everything up.

I really doubt I'll live to see widespread confiscation happen. But I can think of worse ways to go than resisting it.
