If we could get just 10% of travelers to stick to their principles, it would make a difference.
If we could get 50% of travelers, it would overwhelm the TSA smurfs.

Besides, for me, that ain't "junk", it's high quality important stuff....not anything like junk.... :D

EDIT: And no matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to get the desirable ladies to touch my "high quality important stuff"... :(

"Upon buying your ticket, you gave up lot of your rights."

Says who?

Once again we have this "creeping" phenomenon. "Interstate commerce" and "societal interest" gave rise to regulation of commercial airlines. That became heavy and intrusive regulation. Once it was established that airline people were able to be arbitrarily ordered around, somehow that turned into anyone using the airport could be arbitrarily ordered around to the point where even the sanctity of one's person was somehow forfeit.

We're not just forgetting what it is to be Americans, we're also to the point where we've forgotten what it means to be human beings.

The TSA makes me puke. :puke:

Great post!

I applaud his courage. The unfortunate truth is that his name is now on every no-fly list worldwide.

This is what citizens must do! What price courage? The price for lack of courage is so much greater. Do we want ourselves governed by automatons? Do we next line up for microchips?

The most horrific part of the blog was this (when this gentleman thought he was "free to go":

At this point, I thought it was all over. I began to make my way to the stairs to exit the airport, when I was approached by another man in slacks and a sport coat. He was accompanied by the officer that had escorted me to the ticketing area and Mr. Silva. He informed me that I could not leave the airport. He said that once I start the screening in the secure area, I could not leave until it was completed. Having left the area, he stated, I would be subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine. I asked him if he was also going to fine the 6 TSA agents and the local police officer who escorted me from the secure area. After all, I did exactly what I was told. He said that they didn't know the rules............
He still faces a civil suit, and a $10,000 fine!

Under arrest? Unlawful imprisonment?

He said that once I start the screening in the secure area, I could not leave until it was completed.
Really? Says who? ... It's not like the guy had a choice as regards entering the illegal search and detainment zone.

Having left the area, he stated, I would be subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine. So fine them. As he said, he did as directed by those "in authoritah".

This whole thing has gotten out of hand and must end.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a plane ticket is a contract for common carriage entered into between the would-be passenger and the airline. Who is this offensive "TSA" entity which interposes itself claiming absolute dominion? By what standing do they molest the person and belongings of the airline customers?

Did the airlines bring them in? Are they "security personnel" acting as the airline's representative? If so, then someone point me to another commercial air carrier who has some fundamental respect for their customers.

The exit of the airport sounds just like the way the airline pilot was hassled on his way out.

Not to mention if none of the officers, as admitted do not know the rules, should this not be brought to the attention of the media.

The very people whom we pay to protect us, do not know how to do their jobs.........as admitted by .......TSA

Greetings,

I read you all co plaining and approving what that guy did...

For me it is blah blah blah....

We are doomed because none of you is ready to lose the comfort of his home to resist this nonsense we are going to at light speed.

Our founders pledged their honor and their life for the cause.

Good night frogs!

Another voice here to applaud the gentleman that refused to be irradiated, and refused to be sexually assaulted.

How dare they threaten him with a civil lawsuit! The authorities asked him to leave, and he followed their directions! Bring it on!

Of course, the cowards won't bring the suit. They don't want the light of day shining on what they do.
