Is it OK to do this with a GFL?

I know that carrying a firearm it should be separate from the ammo. This is a pain when I'm driving back and forth to the range or to my girls house. I often have another gun with me in an overnight bag etc... and keeping the ammo separate is a pain.

Since I have a GFL can I carry firearms in a bag, in my vehicle, with ammo in the same bag? How about loaded as in a revolver?

Yes. 16-11-126(d)
...that any person in possession of a valid permit issued pursuant to Code Section 16-11-129 may carry a handgun in any location in a motor vehicle.
You can keep it Loaded,
and you can keep it Unloaded.

You can hide it Under the seat,
and you can hide it Behind the seat.

You can hide it In a Bag.
You can even keep a spare Mag.

You can put it In a Box,
but you do not have to use those locks.

You can hide it under there.
You can hide it ANYwhere.

I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
