Expired license as ID?

    Similarly, when I worked the door at a bar we had a policy: No one without an ID enters. I was told, and I told people, that the law says you must have an ID to be served (even if you don't show it.) I don't know or care if this really was the law because 1. the boss/owner told me not to let in people without ID's and 2. that policy really cut down on the riff-raff/urban outdoorsmen.
    Note: I did have some discretion. If someone obviously of age was the DD in a group, or if it was a regular that we knew (and liked) then they probably got in. For the average stranger, if you don't know by now that you need your ID when you go out drinking, then you're probably too stupid to be in here.

    Some of the comments I've seen indicate that a person with a suspended license that has not expired will have an easier time getting a drink than a person who can no longer drive due to a medical condition.
