Greetings! I've been asked to locate a professional in or near the Augusta area to take an inventory of a collection of about 300 guns (meaning list the make, model, caliber and serial number) and related items (ammo, mags, optics, etc.). Ultimately we will also need someone to do a valuation of these items.

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I'd look at long time employee or owner of a pawnshop who is willing to do the legwork --not only researching things online, but also who owns a copy of the blue book of gun values, or a similar guide to the value of older firearms.

To get the value of an older gun that might have collectible status and whose value might vary greatly depending on which variation or type it was, which "change" in the production history, this is a time-consuming undertaking, so I'd expect to pay a couple thousand dollars for this service.
