Hesitating to go into gear from a stop. Anyone know any shade-tree mechanics that like to work on Fords in Gwinnett or a shop that doesn't charge and arm and a leg?

Or is there a safe additive I could just buy to fix it up?

It has about 169k miles. The fluid and filter was changed out about 10k miles ago.

I have had good results with Trans-X. Also available at most part stores. Be sure not to overfill when adding it.

Aamco on Pleasant Hill is competent and honest. Not cheap, though. They do good work and so far my vehicles have far outlasted their repair warranty.

If you want to do it yourself. "There's an 800lb spring in there that will kill ya"
