I just got the 2011 Easter Seals solicitation for donations.
They sent me some return address labels.
On the back of those address labels is a list of tips for keeping your home "safe" from "accidents."
There are about two dozen items on the list, and the last one asks you:
"Are All Firearms Unloaded and Locked Away?" or something like that.

Excuse me, Easter Seals, but having a gun-free home doesn't make me safer.
It makes me vulnerable and less able to resist a home invader, robber, kidnapper, etc.
Having a loaded working gun within easy reach (when I'm home) enhances my safety.
