Anymore everything to do with AR's is overpriced. What used to cost $400 now runs at $800, which if you compare the inflation of other rifles over the same period of time is pretty absurd. :?
I was shooting two different uppers at the range day, one which I built myself for $300 and threw on my Lower. The Rifle I was shooting (Matched Upper & Lower) I had custom made specifically for me, and when I mean custom made I mean I dictated everything, length of barrel, twist rate, length of pull, trigger weight, ect. and the guy fabricated it in his shop from blanks. Not exactly for the faint of heart, but that was back when I was into the Camp Perry stuff.
