Notice: It's perfectly legal to be a paranoid gun owner who obsesses about black helicopters flying over your property,

but if you actually get out your cheapass Remington 770 deer rifle and put a 308 caliber round into said helicopter,

and it turns out this helicopter is with the State Patrol looking for drug and gang suspects with arrest warrants out on them,
    you are in big trouble.

"Terry Kielisch, 56, had already freely admitted he fired his high-powered rifle at a Georgia State Patrol helicopter because he didn’t like it flying near his home. This week, he was sentenced to 15 years and three months in prison ..."

He will also be on probation, or what they call supervised release, for three additional years after he gets out of Club Fed.

    QUOTE:

"On March 12, 2019, he reportedly used a .308 caliber rifle to fire two shots at a GSP helicopter piloted by a GSP trooper with a Richmond County Sheriff's Office investigator as the passenger. The helicopter was providing support during Operation Gunsmoke, an operation looking for fugitives ..."

"The bullets struck near the helicopter's fuel lines and Kielisch has to pay $54,960 in restitution for the resulting damage."

If this sort of thing has to happen from time to time it is a good thing that some dumb ass who freely admits to all is the one's doing the bad. The alternative scenario would be a scary thing and much more complicated to apply the fix.

"Old" is right. The guy is a dumb ass. :righton: I was wondering how Kielisch managed two close hits from a bolt gun and then how he got discovered. Apparently he was close to the action and the helo may have been hovering.
