I have been asleep at the wheel.
No longer required. Hit the Gun Laws at the top of the page.
The holster requirement was removed effective 6-8-10, thank to SB308.
Required? No. However, I find it a tad bit reckless not to use one. It is very convenient sometimes to skip a holster for a quick trip to the store (i.e. just put a gun in my pocket), but I always fear there is too much of a chance for me to reach into my pocket, forget it is there, and hit the trigger. Or for it to fall out of my pocket, etc. Of course, that's just me - I normally have my gun holstered on me even when at home and I even conscientiously think about not fanning across any windows or other part of the house where, if I accidentally discharged the weapon, the bullet could travel out of the house and hit a neighbor's house, car, etc.
Sonny signed it on the 4th I think.
That's the greatness of the law change. It is now each person's personal preference and responsibility.
