My Grandmother told me she would blame me if Barnes was elected :lol:EJR914 said:Congrats guys, the Giant Turd Sandwich won! Just joking. (South Park joke)
Congrats all you Republicans out there!
But hey, maybe it will make it easier for us to get pro-gun legislation signed into law. I will say we've got that.
And here is to all those that told me that if I voted for Monds that Barnes will become Governor, yet I told you all that Deal would still win. See I told you!
I voted Monds and you still got your candidate. Didn't it all work out just like I said it would? Except there was no run-off which let me say, "I told you so," just a little bit sooner!
Congrats guys! I'm glad your guy won! :drink:
Don't worry, my parents, and many friends told me the exact same thing. I told them that I could vote for Monds and Deal would still win, and they still all were like "ZZZZOHH MY GOD, IF YOU VOTE FOR MONDS, BARNES IS GOING TO WIN!!! AHHHHH PANIC! BLOOD IN THE STREETS!"COMMANDER1911 said:My Grandmother told me she would blame me if Barnes was elected

Boy, it feels good to tell everyone that I know, including everybody on this board, I told you so. God, I love being right. Its a tough job. :righton:

There seems to be plenty of "ZOMG" going on here among the liberaltarians.
I'm not happy with Deal, but I'm happier than I would have been with King Rat Roy.
Since Georgia has runoffs, I'll gladly cast my vote as I see fit every time on the first go, and then choose between the giant douche and turd sandwich if it comes to a runoff. I'm surprised every election when I talk to people who don't understand runoffs and just vote for the lesser evil of the two big parties.Owl said:Or, you could all vote 3rd party every election and rake in that 3% every time. Is that supposed to be some kind of subtle jab to libertarians? Why do you consider those who identify as libertarians (normally a loose identification as it is, considering the spectrum of views of those who consider themselves libertarian or libertarian leaning) to be liberal, assuming we are speaking of the term in the sense normally attributed to progressives? I can only truly speak for myself, but I do not see any kind of connection unless you are referring to libertarian views on the relationship between government and religion. There seems to be plenty of "ZOMG" going on here among the liberaltarians.
On that we can most certainly agree. I voted for Monds, but in a runoff, I would've most certainly voted for Deal.I'm not happy with Deal, but I'm happier than I would have been with King Rat Roy.

Malum Prohibitum said:Splitting the vote cannot help him [Deal] win. It can only force a runoff. Please familiarize yourself with the election system currently in effect in Georgia. We do not elect Governors on a plurality.

Good luck with that. Politicians know voters better than voters know politicians. You're gonna hold their feet to the fire? How are you going to do that? Vote for democrats next time?chainsaw123 said:so now is the time for all of us to follow up with emails, letters and calls to all of the republicans that won and let them know that it is NOT business as usual. Let them know that this is the time for them to go back to the roots of their party's platform and that "we" the voters will be watching every vote they make and holding them accountable.
Exactly. I'm sure they're really, really worried about that.JiG said:You're gonna hold their feet to the fire? How are you going to do that? Vote for democrats next time?
