God help us. Nathan Deal is a Statist and a socialist. I guess the less of two evils though. I personally voted for Monds!!!!!!

Congrats guys, the Giant Turd Sandwich won! Just joking. (South Park joke)

Congrats all you Republicans out there!

But hey, maybe it will make it easier for us to get pro-gun legislation signed into law. I will say we've got that.

And here is to all those that told me that if I voted for Monds that Barnes will become Governor, yet I told you all that Deal would still win. See I told you!

I voted Monds and you still got your candidate. Didn't it all work out just like I said it would? Except there was no run-off which let me say, "I told you so," just a little bit sooner!

Congrats guys! I'm glad your guy won! :drink:

Don't worry, my parents, and many friends told me the exact same thing. I told them that I could vote for Monds and Deal would still win, and they still all were like "ZZZZOHH MY GOD, IF YOU VOTE FOR MONDS, BARNES IS GOING TO WIN!!! AHHHHH PANIC! BLOOD IN THE STREETS!"

Boy, it feels good to tell everyone that I know, including everybody on this board, I told you so. God, I love being right. Its a tough job. :righton:

To be honest, COMMANDER1911, I've studied a lot of history, and believe me, THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL.

Every election its, "ZZZZOMG! You can't vote 3rd party! This election is just too important! Vote 3rd party in the NEXT election! But in this one vote for the Republicans, because we can't have the Democrats in there!"

And then somehow, magically, at ever election, they same the same thing! Vote 3rd party in the NEXT election! Well if we keep voting for the 3rd party in the next election, then we will never vote for 3rd party! I've heard their arguments 1,000 times, they never change, and they never persuade me, because I know its the same old crap.

Let me be clear, THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL.

Or, you could all vote 3rd party every election and rake in that 3% every time. Same difference.

There seems to be plenty of "ZOMG" going on here among the liberaltarians.

I'm not happy with Deal, but I'm happier than I would have been with King Rat Roy.

Since Georgia has runoffs, I'll gladly cast my vote as I see fit every time on the first go, and then choose between the giant douche and turd sandwich if it comes to a runoff. I'm surprised every election when I talk to people who don't understand runoffs and just vote for the lesser evil of the two big parties.

Is that supposed to be some kind of subtle jab to libertarians? Why do you consider those who identify as libertarians (normally a loose identification as it is, considering the spectrum of views of those who consider themselves libertarian or libertarian leaning) to be liberal, assuming we are speaking of the term in the sense normally attributed to progressives? I can only truly speak for myself, but I do not see any kind of connection unless you are referring to libertarian views on the relationship between government and religion.

On that we can most certainly agree. I voted for Monds, but in a runoff, I would've most certainly voted for Deal.

To echo the above posts, congrats to all who voted for the winner since this is all that matters to you. In voting for the winner you lost. Elections do have consequences.

so now is the time for all of us to follow up with emails, letters and calls to all of the republicans that won and let them know that it is NOT business as usual. Let them know that this is the time for them to go back to the roots of their party's platform and that "we" the voters will be watching every vote they make and holding them accountable.

It is time for ALL of us to make VERY clear what we expect out of them. If we get no satisfaction that they are changing their ways then maybe it is time for the tea party to start heavily endorsing liberatarians and pushing for the third party. So, all you self proclaimed liberatarians need to not whine about repubs and how they are just as bad as the dems but HELP all the repub voters put some fear into the repubs that were voted in. Now is not the time to wallow in "it should have been liberatariens now" but help us get accountability for repubs actions!!! Lets keep the fire lit under their feet!!!

Well, at least we aren't stuck with a giant douche.

This all sounds familiar. I had the same discussions w/my father. If he would vote based on his world view, he'd be Libertarian to the core. But no - he votes for whatever $#!+ the Republicans nominate, and he's scared to death that if I don't vote for turd sandwich, giant douche will win!

Good luck with that. Politicians know voters better than voters know politicians. You're gonna hold their feet to the fire? How are you going to do that? Vote for democrats next time?

I'm happy to say I voted for Monds. As above mentioned I can settle with Deal. I'm not happy about him being the guy nor would I have been happy with Barnes but Deal was oviously no pun intended the best deal. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Exactly. I'm sure they're really, really worried about that.
The whole thing is as fixed as a Las Vegas slot machine.
