    THE POLAR ICECAPS ARE MELTING!

While I might be inclined to think that there is some global warming, I don't think it is caused by humans.

My standard statement to people who bring up that my SUV is causing global warming is:
Do you know that the polar ice caps are melting.
When they say yes, I tell them that I meant the ones on Mars. (you can read about it on NASA site)
Then I ask them to please explain how the greenhouse gasses from Earth are causing them to melt.
    I usually get

Actually only one (of our) ice caps is melting, the other is getting thicker. The part that they always say is getting smaller is the antarctic peninsula (not the whole cap). Which, if you look at a map, the peninsula is the only part of the cap that sicks out past the arctic circle.

So the part that sicks out past the arctic circle is the part that is melting. Yet the models say the first to show it would be the ice caps themselves thinning and shrinking, not one of them getting thicker.
