Before Copernicus started insisting that the sun was the center of our solar system, scientists like Tycho devised elaborate data charts showing the Earth at its center. Now designer Piotr Kaczmarek has created gorgeous diagrams comparing Tychonian and Copernican views.

The Tychonian model is a compromise between the two other models (Ptolemaic & Copernican) - the Earth is the center of the universe, the sun revolves around the Earth, but the other planets revolve around the sun.
