This happened about a month ago in Humacao, Puerto Rico. It was all over the news over there and the cop has been charged with 1st degree murder.
I don't know exactly what started the whole altercation, other than what I've read about it in several articles, but it is tragic when things like this are done by the very same people who are supposed to enforce the laws.

I don't mean to start an LEO bashing here, but I thought everyone in this forum should know about this. This was just one cop in an apparent fit of rage, but a lot of honest LEO's are always affected and inevitably cast in a negative light by the general public when something like this happens.

Some articles about the incident:

WARNING: The video is not for the squeamish. Extremely graphic content.

Unfortunately, most of it is off camera. The person filming mostly showed sidewalk, but the officer obviously pumps rounds into an unresisting, possibly already lifeless, man with the last two shots. There is quite a delay between shots as well.

Somebody at the beginning is speaking English. Is this common there?

Spanish is spoken by pretty much everyone in the island, but a large part of the population is bilingual, or at least somewhat familiar with English.

That video isn't nearly as graphic as some things that come out of hollywood...
True. But it's not the same when you know that that's an actual human being getting killed, and not some actor laying still with fake blood. I've played a lot of violent video games and watched tons of movies, all in good fun, but it's a whole different thing to watch somebody die for real.

If they admit that footage as evidence, the cop will most likely go to jail for a looong time, and if it's inadmissible in court for some reason (I'm not a lawyer but stuff like that happens) there's still lots of witnesses.

Yeah, it's like he's looking him over... trying to decide whether the dude's shot enough... and puts a few in for good measure.

It's kinda hard to see on the video if the guy was trying to get the cop's gun, or if he was trying to prevent the cop from drawing the gun, but that's when the first shot went off. I think that first shot is the one that got the cop in the leg.
