the one on the right in the headline photo looks like a Christmas elf. (But taller).

When it comes to the cutting-edge trends in fashion, there's quite a difference between what the designers play with as a concept, and what the buyers actually want to develop as a product line.

The USA hasn't even embraced mens' purses yet (and they're such a practical idea-- as a lawyer I've got briefcases that serve the same role, and it's very handy). I doubt we'll be having real men dress in skirts in our lifetimes.

What gunsmoker said. I've seen men's skirts pop up ever few years or so in the fashion industry for quite some time now. They have never taken off and I seriously doubt they ever will. Women don't even wear skirts/dresses as much as they did 50-100 years ago, which says a lot to me about their practicality and appeal.

I remember back in the mid to late 80's designers were trying to get this pushed through. It didn't work. Men's skirts and dresses were even put on the market but ended up in women's wear to move them off the racks. I could be wrong but I don't think they ever made it out of fashion markets like NY or LA. If something like this fails in LA it's a sure bet it's total flop.

I don't think I'll be wearing a Kilt either. Especially this time of year...

"Umbrella-riding Hunter" works as the same name, translated to English, without the umlaut.

I got a kilt. I never wear it. I have several sarongs and I do wear those but seldom out in public and only during the summer.

Wearing a kilt is a manly thing to do. Assuming you are of the bloodline to do so.
As to starting to think about wearing the others, the only question is whatsarongwithyou? Doc didn't cut too much down there when you were 3 days old, did he?

He did not. Which is precisely why I cannot wear a kilt in public...

He says no for fear of hanging too low. Sounds more like he tried a mini-kilt at the beginning.

It's not just kilts though. I have the same problem with jeans. ;)

Well it is embarrassing having a distinct linear advantage in a urinating contest.

If it's Kilts you want to see I suggest dinner at Twisted Kilts.
