Comp-tac is the best. Period.
They'd be the best if they could mold their holsters to correctly accommodate a safety switch for my Hk UPSc.
Everyone else seemed to be making a holster thread, so I felt left out.
I used to be a big fan of Comp-Tac, but lately I've been prefering leather over Kydex.
I use a C-TAC now and the holster's been fine but I don't view it in as high regard since I managed to break one of the clips. I am interested in their new Infidel holster but I've got a leather holster on the way.
They make great holsters, but I don't think they're the best. There's a reason other companies are still in business. If you want to limit yourself to pure kydex (no leather) holsters and guns that they have molds for, I won't argue too much.
Well that is unless you make it a custom combo holster, kydex inside and leather on the outside.
Mine is the 'settable cant' OWB. It's what I use for OC.
Then look into the M-TAC, man.
Leather body with the kydex gun holder thingy.
I'm surprised that Ramm hasn't weighed in yet. He used to pimp Comp-Tac BIG TIME.
Second post of the thread.
The M-Tac does look like a good best of both worlds holster.
I did that to both comp-tac's (xd and 1911) for about $10 worth of leather and glue from a hobby store.
I love my CTAC! No issues with safety lever interference, either.
What's this safety thing you speak of?
Those of us with large brains and opposable thumbs can handle devices with more than one control.
I thought the safety was the calliflower looking thing between my ears.
My gun doesn't have a safety!
