I recently moved back to Georgia from SC and I was extremely impressed with the Columbia County GWL application process.

All paperwork/photo/prints were done in one spot - in and out in 15 minutes.
Five days later, GWL arrived in the mailbox.

Contrast that with SC's process.
Prints and photo in separate spots.
Four hours in a classroom with a test that you must pass.
Four hours on the range with a shooting test that you must pass.

I received my permit in 173 business days (out of the allowed 180).

Kudos to the Columbia County Probate court.

Thanks, it's good to be back.
I can't tell you how happy I am that the SC legislature finally passed that bill.

I could no longer carry anymore in the same places that were perfectly legal one day before.

"I'm sorry sir, I know you passed all of our tests, passed our background check and have carried in our state for five years - but moving 18 miles makes you untrustworthy."
