A couple of thieves were in for a surprise when the store clerk they just robbed chased them in his own car, firing shots at the bandits. The two armed suspects walked into The Kwik Stop at 5555 W. Colonial Drive at about 11:10 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk. The victim complied with the robbers and handed over a small mount of cash, Orange County deputies said. As the suspects fled in a gold Ford Focus, the clerk armed himself with his own handgun and chased the men. Deputies said the clerk fired at least two shots at the suspects. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video. Check back for more details.
