I have a car show to attend at Dallas Landing in Acworth this weekend and then a family reunion Oct 13th at Gatewood park (bartow beach area), I know both areas are ran by the city/county but I'm not sure if they own them or not. Anyone know if they are off limits....?

Well according to both county websites the land is Corps Property. The counties lease the land....So could the argument be made that since it's leased by the county/city they can’t ban weapons....? Kind of the opposite of the botanical gardens case….?

If you have your COE permission letter, you can carry there, but only concealed.

The City or County can't ban guns. They're totally preempted from doing that.
But they can enforce a federal ( C.O.E.) gun ban. Their lease with the Corps might even require them to remind visitors of Corps rules and enforce them if any visitor violates them.

I've got my corps of engineers permission -to-carry letter, so it's a moot point for me.
