It’s been done before. I believe the two people whom went all the way to the Supreme Court over a a similar law are still serving federal time.
So are you saying that justice was observed in the sentencing including federal time?
Are you saying the similar case, in your opinion, was upholding of the 2nd Amendment or detrimental to it?

In 2013 Kansas passed the Second Amendment Protection Act, which among other things, said that firearms and silencers made in Kansas and sold in Kansas don’t fall under the NFA. Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler were arrested and charged for violating the NFA. They sued stating they were legal under Kansas law and that the NFA was unconstitutional. The lost their appeals, and courts upheld the NFA and their sentences. It went all the way to SCOTUS, and was refused to be granted cert.

Adam5 knows of what he speaks. So-called "2A Sanctuary" laws gives no protection from the Feds.
