My first post so go easy on me.
Under what circumstances is one allowed to kill an attacking dog?
Is the killing of an attacking dog considered "defense of heath, life, and property".
What does the law say on this matter.
Educate me please. I live in Gwinnett Co., in an HOA neighborhood.

    Thanks in advance

Drop it before it attacks you.

They want to call the cops....let 'em. They can explain why they had their vicious attack dog off of its lease or not corralled in a fenced in yard.

I would tell them to go ahead and call the police so they could be arrested for assaulting you with their dog. Who cares if it sticks. Make them think twice before they call.

You need to call. Don't rely on them.

Thats not true, they make reports you can keep as records. I would wait until the threat has ended and not count on them to arrive in time to do anything about it.

Methinks MP was saying to call the police after dispatching the attack dog, and not to rely on the dog owners to call. I don't think he was suggesting that you should call during the attack.
