Are they referring to the special modifications California has historically required? One bill Brown signed will expand the state's assault weapons ban to include "bullet-button" rifles, which allow users to quickly dislodge a magazine of ammunition by pressing a button.
It only took how many years to notice?Riley described the Legislature and Brown's actions as "reckless and irresponsible," adding that they are trying to "usurp the federal Constitution" by passing legislation that conflicts with federal law.
Even ones with bullet-button magazines wells."When you pass laws that restrict guns, you stimulate a black market," said Riley. "So the only thing is that people will still have guns, but they'll have them illegally."

I don't think the guy knows the difference between a goal and a string of sound bites. My goal in signing these bills is to enhance public safety by tightening our existing laws in a responsible and focused manner, while protecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners," Brown said in a signing measure.

Yes they are."These so-called high-capacity magazines are not for target shooting or hunting," said Senator Loni Hancock, a Democrat who sponsored the bill.
Magazines don't kill people. They don't even leave out the barrel, not even with a barrel shroud, pistol grip, fore grip, or a collapsible shoulder thingy. A grenade launcher won't even make the magazine go out the barrel to kill someone no matter how many nuclear tipped heat seeking missile bullets you put in them."Their sole purpose is to kill as many people as possible in the shortest period of time."
No they don't. They make it a pain in the bullet to release the magazine. THAT WAS THE POINT BEHIND CALIFORNIA REQUIRING THEM!A separate bill banned semiautomatic weapons with "bullet buttons," which make it easy to quickly remove a magazine and replace it with another.
:jawdropper:Other bills the governor signed will require an ID and background check to purchase ammunition and create a new state database of ammunition owners; ...
Family loan loophole!... restrict the loaning of guns without background checks to close family members.
Next they'll require a ten minute "cool down period" where you gotta wait after breaking it open before the button will work.Marine6212 said:Thats about asinine! What is this gonna prevent?
Oh, well... at least he vetoed the unreasonable ones. While Brown signed six measures, he also vetoed five several proposals which he described as "overly regulative" ...
Or... Nutjobs will just carry additional handguns instead of a rifle at all.Phil1979 said:Next, there will be a combination push-button lock required to open the action, as the pull string will be deemed illegal.
It'll stop for sport utility varmint rifles once the nutjobs decide to just bring a load of handguns instead.Phil1979 said:When will this garbage stop?
When the people remove the problem from authority! Or require that what ever restrictions are put on lowly civilians, police and their security detail have to abide by same laws! When will this garbage stop?
It does seem to be his plan.Phil1979 said:Freedom loving people seriously need to flee that state - at pedal to the metal speed.
Just three months after signing a $15/hour minimum wage into law, a proposal which as he himself admitted "doesn't make economic sense" and which unleashed an exodus of locals departing for other states, ...
Yep.."They abused the legislative process to enact their depraved anti-civil rights agenda."
