HAs anybody seen this AR rifle bullet developed by Hornady? 250 grains at 2,200 fps.
Just switch uppers.
Impressive. If I did more hunting I would probably pick one up.
I wonder if I can get one with a 11.5" barrel?
I AM going to get me a .450 upper.
Who makes the uppers?
Bushmaster I would guess.
It's a joint project between Hornady and Bushmaster.
I bought a .450 Marlin and week later saw the ad for the new Bushmaster and knew i had to have it.
Pretty slick setup. Switch uppers and take a standard AR mag and change the follower out in it and it becomes a 9 round .450 mag.
I've been keeping my eye out and it doesn't look like uppers are available yet. I think the full rifle is just now becoming available.
On Bushmaster's site, the rifle is $1350. http://www.bushmaster.com/catalog_xm15_BCWVMS 20-45.asp I'm still looking for just the upper...
Thats impressive. I need one of those. I would like to see another ammo manufacture of two producing the .450 bushmaster cartridge though.
Looks like Hornady has exclusive rights to it, but I guess that could change.
I'm still looking for upper receivers for it...

That's what I posted..the whole rifle.
Just like the .357 Sig being made by other manufacturers or the .400 CorBon, it will eventually make its way to others on the market.
Yea, true. I still want one.
Looks like uppers will be available early October.
How about the Sledgehammer in .458 SOCOM?
There is a AK variant as well...
nice, good price on them too, might have to start saving up for that one.
