    If he had escaped the scene and didn't die, and didn't even need professional medical help, I wonder if the cops would have bothered doing a DNA analysis on the blood?
    Probably not-- not for a mere burglary. Murder, sure. Not burglary.

    The homeowner could have at least left a window open or door unlocked. The homeowner's willfully negligent actions of barricading their home clearly was a primary contributing cause of the death of the guest. It can't be denied that the foreseeable consequences of making a home inaccessible to guests could clearly result in said guests needing to breach the home perimeter in a violent and tumultuous manner that is likely to result in significant injury or death as a result. Hopefully the homeowner is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but until such time, demonstrations should take place at the home and any public place that the homeowner visits.

    Oh man - I could so easily write (is that a split infinitive? should it be 'write easily'?) for liberal trash blogs like Gizmodo...
