So, what time shall we meet? We're lucky, since Adam's out of town, so we don't have to deal with his normal well-I've-been-here-15-minutes-now-I-have-to-go-back-to-my-wife crap, not that we ever made our plans around his schedule. The 11:00, then lunch thing seems to work well, but I also see the merit in swapping the order so we can shoot longer Does anyone have any special time commitments? I'll be bringing my usual toys (CZ 75B SA, Walther P22, Hk P7) and my new one (Remington SPR220). If anyone has a Ruger SP101 or a S&W 642, please bring it, as I'd like to see how they fit my hand.
How much does it cost to shoot? I keep hearing about this place. I'll drive up there I guess. I've got a 642 you can shoot to your hearts content. I might have my SBR together by then... do they allow class 3 stuff?
Hey Shizzle: They open at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, so we can meet for lunch at noon and it should work out fine. The last couple of times we did that, we met at the Firehouse Sub shop on the corner of Hwy 9 and Bethelvew Rd (exit 13 off GA Hwy 400). Cost is $15.00 per hour or $8.00 per hour if sharing a lane. We have usually put two people per lane and found that works OK as there is always some downtime BSing, reloading, BSing, admiring other people's guns, BSing, etc. If you really must have a lane all to yourself, and there is a member shooting with us, I believe you can shoot as a guest of the member for the same $8.00/hour. Hope you can make it.
Hey butter: The open at 1:00pm on Sunday, so I think lunch first would work better. So, hows about noon at Firehouse? Do you have any other ideas for lunch? I'll bring my S&W model 60LS, which is pretty close in size/shape to a 642 and you can see how it fits your wittle bittie hands... And I definitely do want to try out your new toy!!!
I almost forgot to mention... Sunday is the day of choice this weekend as my barber will probably be joining us and she works Saturdays. Hope no one minds me inviting a potential GCO member...
I would suggest getting there a few minutes before 1 if you want to be sure to get a rifle lane. It has been fairly crowded the last few Sundays. If you are the guest of a member it is $8 for the day if memory is correct. (I am a member BTW). I am not sure of my weekend plans yet but I can probably be there.
Got an invite to join my boss on some land he has access to. To hear him talk about it we may been done in fifteen minutes.
Another member checking in. I don't really know the area, so Firehouse is the only thing I can think of. There are a bunch of restaurants down by North Point, but that's 4-5 exits away.
There are also a bunch a places to eat one exit north at 400 and GA20. Shoot a couple of rounds for me !!! I'll be sitting a blackjack table at Ceasers Palace at 1:00 Sunday. Playing blackjack, drinking free scotch, and smoking free cigars is a great way to spend a holiday weekend.
I might have to make the trek over for this one as well to see Macktee, Bulldawg, and Budder. It would also be nice to meet some other faces as well. I might even be able to convince my other half to join in the fun.
i should be able to make it sunday, i have no plans and the wife is working all weekend. i'll bring the ak, neos, p232, etc. also a member so we should have enough members to get the rest in at the guest rate.
Haha!!! And Bulldawg and I have gone head to head here on a few things, but he's a great guy and I enjoyed working the Gwinnett show with him. Not to mention, Bulldawg has some good toys if he brings them all. I love the 870.
I'm so in this time. I'm 50/50 on making it to lunch, but I will defintely be there with my P99, Llama, and a S&W 39-2 - all 9mm. I may bring my Marlin BA .22lr if I feel up to it.
