What happened to the paramilitary organization that taught boys to adapt, survive, and overcome, and become moral men?

*facepalm* I knew it was coming, but this crap has gone too far
So who is going to start another organization that will be for boys only that will do what the Boy Scouts used to do?
I saw their press release earlier today.

I guess I may need to retract my statement in the other thread about our Troop not actively recruiting girls. It looks like that may be coming very soon. It sounds like for 2018, Cub Scout Packs will be affected first. There are a couple of options as to how it may be implemented, depending on how the Pack wants to do it. I'm not sure what kind of program they are looking at for 2019 for older girls who would like to pursue Eagle Scout.

Something like this- http://www.traillifeusa.com/ ?
I don't believe the Boy Scouts are trying to do girls any favors. This is being done to ensure that, at least from their point of view, there will be no more controversy over anything gender related. LGBTQRSTXYZ are all welcome now, and openly so.

It's about tearing down any and all boundaries of common sense, decency, and morality.

Our once a year weekend-long solo survival camping trips were my favorites, except maybe the last one I went on. We were allowed to bring our backpack, canteen, knife, compass, a poncho, 10' of window sash cord, emergency survival kit (whatever we could fit in one of the old metal band-aid box: flint and steel, fishing line and hooks, signaling mirror, waterproofed matches, etc.), an empty coffee can, eating/cooking utensils we had made out of wood ahead of time, and a potato.

It had rained all week and it rained all weekend. Almost no dry wood or tender. I caught one fish on Saturday afternoon. I started a fire with flint and steel because that was a requirement, but did not have enough dry fuel to keep it going. I ate the potato and fish raw, and I liked it. My lumpy little bed at home felt extra good that Sunday night.

What’s wrong with the Girl Scouts?
This one is going to be harder to right against than the lgbtq nonsense. As pointed out to me by a foreign friend last night, most Scouting programs across the world aren't divided by boys and girls, they're simply Scouts. As an Eagle Scout and active Assistant Scoutmaster, I'm going to have to do some hard thinking on this one.
If the goal was to assimilate into a well run program, it wouldn't be a problem. I don't think that's the goal. I ran "advised" a coed Venture Crew and the kids weren't the problem. You can take it from there.
What about the other 30 genders ? They are going to want in too.

Nothing if you want to learn basket weaving or how to social with cheerleaders. My daughter and friends' daughters looked into it and they didn't do any "fun" stuff that they were interest in, like camping, survival skills, hiking, etc. It was more of a social club. Girls have been asking for years to be able to be included in Boy Scouts. I guess we just have to call it "Scouts" now.

We let them in a year ago.
What’s wrong with the Girl Scouts?
Many have felt like the Girl Scouts as an organization have moved too far left politically. They tend to have a more liberal agenda and stance on issues and that led to a feeling of indoctrination of the girls. For some, that's fine. But the Bou Scouts have tended to be more conservative. Although in their effort to follow the money, they are moving away from their core values as well. Many gilrls would love to be a part of BSA nd want nothing to do with GS.
Speaking as a parent who had a child in both, Girls Scouts has far too many rules and not enough fun and/or beneficial activities. Briefly, it's a drag...
