Blame It All On The Media

Oddly didn’t get that from Obama’s interview. All that hard right chittering out of the OP’s link divorces one from reality if one fails to ask basic questions though. “But they said ‘Obama bad’ and that’s all I need to hear” isn’t logical discourse…but it is the very thing Obama pointed out as a fundamental problem.

“Now people will say, well, that didn’t happen, or I don’t believe that,” he complained, asserting that “one of, I think, the goals of the Obama Foundation, and one of the goals of my post-presidency, is how do we return to that common conversation? How can we have a common set of facts?” - Obama

the answer to this is to actually use the truth and real facts instead of passing false narratives through the democrat media.

Except he wants to use only the common narrative the democrat party puts out and stop all independent reporting that calls into question the official narrative or actually reports the true facts that goes against that narrative. In other words you will only be allowed to see and hear what the democrats want you to see and hear.

Obama wants the fact checker to be the government. That solution is worse than the problem. Am I wrong?

That's a direct challenge to the Obama apologists.

That is the reality a conservative rag sells you and you choose to accept, yes. It is not really true. It is not the same reality others are living. It is what you chose for yourself. Another example of this is that Obama was the most pro-2A president in your lifetime but someone told you he wasn’t. Different reality or blatant rejection of fact?

Are these Obama’s words or what a conservative writer told you his words were? I mean I’d ask you to provide me a fact check but that blatantly puts you in support of Obama’s words if we are determining and agreeing on facts and I understand how the tribalism runs counter to such a simple task.

Well Obama said it. Nothing you can dispute about that. that is the REAL reality. He was not a pro 2A president. He just failed to get anything passed. He did try on more than one occasions to get the AWB reinstated. Some firearm imports were banned as original and had to have USA made parts installed in order for them to be imported.

You might try your snow job on someone that did hot work in the gun industry. Maybe you will have better luck.

I think you are trying to use a highly restrictive form of "uncommon facts" to make your point. We get that you voted for Obama, and that you agree with everything he has done to divide Americans and made veiled attempts to blame it all on Trump.

I don't think anyone here hears "Obama bad" and runs with it .... we all know exactly what he did, when he did it, and why. He was, is and always will be a traitor.

Well, he did seem to be a statist if I recall correctly. Or do you really believe he was advocating for a free media to police things like a "common narrative".

Seems like he was bemoaning the media's inability to do so, no? And so what's the solution? A government one, of course.
