Anyone make it to Blade Show? Tomorrow is the last day. There are a few giveaways, including one for Fiddleback Outpost. We're giving away a great Fiddleback Forge Patch fixed blade knife. You can register in person at the Fiddleback Forge tables (table 4E) or hit the Fiddleback Outpost website (http://fiddlebackoutpost.com)) and sign up for the newsletter before Friday the 10th to be registered.

My new toy. Bad picture though. New phone/camera, not used to it yet.

Nice grab guys! Obviously I checked out the Fiddleback fixed blades, but also took a look at Columbia River for some budget minded folding knives. I have a NTO ("No Time Off") CKRT folder that I really like and I see that they are now coming out with a Ruger branded (officially licensed) line with some nice models.

I never received confirmation email
Strange, but not an issue: Simply use the "Contact Us" page and shoot a note letting us know you want to be in the drawing and I'll make sure that you're entered. We have cards from the sign-up at the Fiddleback Forge table that we have to get entered anyway, so we're already manually adding some people to the list for the drawing. I had two other people that didn't receive a confirmation that we manually registered too.

Also, make sure to check your spam/junk folder.

I picked this up from Texan Knives. The handle is made from ram horn.

They could use some better lighting in that place. If the individual vendors didn't bring auxiliary lighting, their wares were sometimes hard to see.

That is a pretty blade!

The winner was Andy Roy. Andy works at.... oh wait.... That can't be right. I guess this is what we get for leaving the Giveaway sign-up box on the Fiddleback Forge table....

Seriously, the winner will be chosen this afternoon. We're exporting the list of registrants from MailChimp into a spreadsheet and using a random number generator to pick the winner. We'll then make sure it isn't an entry from Andy, Allen, or any of the other guys at the shop that had nothing better to do than fill out entry cards. We'll then shoot a notice to this GPDO thread, our Facebook page, the Fiddleback Forge subform on Blade Forums, and an email blast to all entrants, pretty much simultaneously, announcing the winner to make sure no one misses it. We'll also have a separate email out to the winner to arrange shipping.

I believe our final entry count for the drawing was 455, so overall I'd say it was pretty successful.

For anyone that missed the newsletter signup, it is still worth doing as we are going to try to continue to offer discount codes, advanced knife/sheath product notices (we have a new sheath maker coming on board - Diomedes Industries), more giveaways in the future, etc. We've also done some crazy things, like register the domain "knife.porn" (no, it isn't live yet), so newsletter members will get a first hand account of our embarrassing failures as well!

Sorry for the delay - just getting a bunch of updates out and wanted to let everyone know that Shane Douga of Texas was our winner. Congrats Shane (hopefully a GPDO member for some inexplicable reason)!

I demand a reward for each who entered. And everyone must get the same. We cannot discriminate against those who were not picked or who did not do as well. All did their best and thats all that counts. Just because you did not win does not mean you are not as good as everyone else.

We must give up football and everyone play soccer.
