I saw this picture from earlier this week and thought how cool some of the conversations are at my Mom's house after Thanksgiving dinner every year. Between my wife, myself, my brothers and brother-in-laws, we have a total of about 130 years of uniformed service to our country. There was also a number of my uncles who served in WWII and Korea, one who was awarded 4 Navy Crosses in 1944 as commander of the USS Bang. Never a dull moment with this crew.

This is my brother-in-law, retired Marine Corps Lt. Col. Gene Tromly (right) with his youngest son's father-in-law, Gen. Philip Breedlove (center), who just stepped down as Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, with Gen. Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (left) at Phil's retirement ceremony.

Just found out that one of my nephews, who is married to Gen. Breedlove's (center in picture above) daughter, was just promoted to Major. He is now one promotion away from his father's (on right in picture above) retirement rank.
