I hate posting this crap. Wonder what made them investigate him in the first place?

is possession of child porn not a felony? if so why is he still on the job carrying a weapon. i don't understand why he isn't in jail. these creeps aren't just youth counselors, school buss drivers and the mall santa anymore, they are everywhere and i suspect there are many more of them than we wish to believe. like roaches.....for every one you see there are a thousand more hiding.

and some seem to want to treat the women that commit these crimes like celebrities (too pretty to go to jail), i have equal disdain for them also.

Read the article again. It said he was previously assigned to patrol.

Ya know, most cops and other LEOs are really good people, but when they go bad, they go really :censored: bad!!!!!

I'm sure they go bad just like any other group. But the smaller offenses will get swept under the rug, not to mention that the media doesn't care to report on those anyway.

Not jumping on ya or anything but... Then why post it? :?

    *It's not really gun related.
*These are accusations at this point.
*We already post so much anti-leo stuff that many leo's that view the site are turned off by us. (and that's bits that are gun related - ND's and no knock bust in's etc)

LEO's are just a sub set of everyone else. Anything that you can find in the general population you should find just as much of, percentage-wise, in the leo community.

My thought is leave this stuff for everyone to pay attention to on there own. If you wanna post the ND's and gun "relavent" topics that's cool.

Again, not jumping on ya or anything.

Unfortunately, if true, that is not as it should be. LEO's should be amongst our finest and have very low crime rates. Much like being a pastor, it should be a calling. One is not going to get rich as either a pastor or a LEO. Rather, like the selfless soldiers and pastors, they should do it because something in their hearts say this is the right thing to do. They should love the law and people, as many do; rather than skirt the law and abuse people, as some do. Being just another slice of the pie isn't good enough.

Certainly not as a LEO, but as a pastor...? Take a look at Pat Robertson's holdings and think about that one again. He built up his TV empire with donations, but when it sold to Rubert Murdoch, he kept the entire $40 million (or was it $400 million?) for himself. Just a simple man of the cloth...

My father-in-law was a Baptist preacher (his preferred title) and he didn't get rich. Not even close! At least, not in the monetary sense. But, pastors of large churches make very good money and the ones on TV make obscene amounts of it! For some of them, it's not so much a calling as a career.

I agree with holding LEOs to higher standards, just like pastors, and it just kills me to see one of them go bad. I guess that's why these stories get posted. It tends to upset most of us. I know it does me!

Point taken and I agree 100%. I should not have posted this. I have worried about exactly what I highlighted in RED. Can a mod please delete this thread?

The Barrow County Sheriff has made it clear that he will be treated like anybody else.

It's been said before, we are NOT anti-LEO, but we are (and should be) anti-bad-LEO. Very much so! As should be everyone. I'm sure the vast majority of LEOs are.

Yeah, there's that blue-line thing, but who can blame them for that? They make split-second decisions under really crappy circumstances and are judged by people who've never been there. That's not good. No wonder they don't trust civilians.

I've known lots of LEOs over the years and they are just like the rest of us. Except, they are expected to be damn near perfect 100% of the time!

Some are good, some are really good and some are borderline crazy. The big difference between them and us is they chose a job that's inherently dangerous. They go to work every damn day, not knowing if they'll come home. So, if they get a little crazy at times, cut them some slack.

But, when they go really bad, they should go down. Hard!

There's a big difference between blowing off some steam and breaking the law and every one of them knows that difference!

NO! We're not anti-LEO here. Not even close!
