Don't know if this has already been posted, but it is worth a second look.
Family members up north heard on national news that GA has twenty plows total for the entire state. I figured half of them were in Atlanta.
I didn't see a plow until Tuesday evening in the city. Not that I should call it a plow. It looked like a 25 y/o medium duty dump truck with a blade mounted.
Cobb County did a great job clearing the roads. I was able to get to work on Tuesday.
Why would we buy snow plows? Its not like it ever snows here. Haven't you read anything from the Chamber of Commerce.
In all seriousness its just not worth spending more money on snow removal equipment. Having a better plan to use private equipment in emergencies is definitely a good idea, but we don't get this kind of weather often enough to buy enough plows to do the job overnight.
