-what type of firearms were recovered most in georgia?

-are the majority of new york's recovered weapons really coming from georgia?

-what are the reasons these firearms were recovered and traced? is it possible more weapons were "recovered" that don't list a reason, than the weapons under the most common crime categories? if so, why is that?

-how many new purchases are used in crimes? are older firearms more prevalent?

-what georgian city were most of them recovered in? is it true that the well oiled machine that is the ATF has firearms they don't even know where they were "recovered" from?

Even though the media still ignores it, the warning message that "not all guns are traced to crimes and not all crime guns are traced" is usually ignored.

Brady and VPC love to ignore the warnings that guns traced do not represent a random sample and cannot be used to show methods of distribution... the list of dirty dealers are infact just a list of dealers that sell the most weapons.

These warnings appeared in older reports but they were buried in the Appendix.

ok, so after looking at all of those..

Total number of firearms: 240,568 firearms

Total number machine guns: 543

So if the math is done correctly that is .2% of the total.

Now, if they are considering an "assault weapon" a machine gun then that blows the whole assault weapon crap out of the water.

If it was an actual machine gun...then why are they still banned? Pistols over all are the highest numbers.

Either way, 240,568 firearms....way to go brady...your law is really working :roll:

We trace all the guns we find in possession of felons. Since June 1st, we have traced (and recovered) two stolen pistols that were taken in entering autos that the owner in one case didn't report because he didn't have the serial number, and in the second we recovered the gun before the owner knew it was missing (he kept it in the console of his truck, and lives in Athens Clarke)
