I finally got around to building out one of my GCO lowers...

5.45x39 Adams Arms piston upper with a Voodoo barrel. I love that cartridge. Can't wait to shoot it!

I like the caliber, it has very good terminal ballistics and ammo is cheaper than 5.56.

Yes I know the price has gone up... But fortunately for me I am sitting on enough of it to last me for some time.

Looks good, I've wanted to do 5.45 also but parts seem to be getting harder to find and more expensive than they were. I enjoy my ak74's and have about 15 cans of surplus ammo.

I love 5.45 too. I run it in two Bulgy side and a Polish.

Huldra uses the Adams Arms piston system, and they have really good customer service, at least according to their ratings. On their website they recommend a reduced power action spring if you are going to shoot the cheap steel cased ammo.

Yeah the rifle is still available, but the upper is out. I put in for an email when they get the 5.56 back in stock.

I have plenty of AR's that's why I just wanted the upper. I'm debating on cutting down the number of AR's I have since they are modular making caliber changes easy and I really only shoot my short barreled rifles.
