For my AR build, I'm going to put everything in this thread for now. I can start by listing what I ordered.

My cost stands at $756.64 for:

--Stripped Lower from Anvil Arms
--Transfer Fee/Shipping
--LPK/Upper (A2 Buttstock, C.A.R. HG, 16" Chrome-lined HBAR Barrel, GG&G M.A.D. rear sight)
-- 2 magazines with anti-tilt followers
--Tools (Pein hammer, small punch, needle nose pliers)

The lower is scheduled for delivery to my FFL tomorrow (Monday) and the upper/LPK should be here by the end of the week. I'll be detailing the build with pictures. I plan on doing the build this weekend.

It amazes me that I can get every single other part of a gun shipped to me at home, but that little piece of plastic has to go through a dealer.

Having seen some of these I can tell you one thing.
They will get jammed on whatever aperture you are using if you do not clean it almost any time they get dirty.

I've seen them freeze due to both saltwater and sand. and it's a pain to get free again.

ARMS sight is backordered. It is being substituted with the GG&G M.A.D. REAR SIGHT
This is same sight that is on my wifes 9mm carbine. It works great and co-witnesses perfectly with an Aim Point.

Chris

I'd have held out for the ARMS 40.

If the Holidays roll around and I'm asking my wife for AR parts, it's all ya'lls fault!!! All this talk of AR's on the site recently is giving me the itch to build one. I think I need a second one. I'm thinking 9mm for cheap plinking.

Speaking of cheap plinking. Has anyone hear tried one of the .22 conversion kits for a .223 AR? I think Ceiner makes them. You use their .22 mag and bolt group in your .223 upper.
