Well, it has been some time since my last firearms purchase and that CZ SA is calling me. I might relent. Haven't felt the need to carry more than the 938 but 17 rounds on the side is a bit more reassuring. Yeah, don't like crowds either. I doubt anyone will be shooting-up my local Kroger but myself, wife and three kids will be ready for it.

I stay away from herds of people as much as I can. I never liked crowds. I don't even like going to the store during the first of the month.
This is most definitely my thought line. I am very much an INTJ and generally don't like people...especially big groups of them. My favorite shopping time? Monday or Tuesday between 8 and 10 AM. BUT...I also know that when I am out in my neighborhood walking my dog at 8 in AM, there is a possibility that I could be robbed...so I carry. All the time.

Lately, what I carry is more of what is convenient as opposed to what *might* be more appropriate to the situation. I would say 80% I carry a Kahr CM9, mainly because it's usually in the car and easy to strap on. When I am in the yard, or walking in the hood, I grab my G43...it's easy to grab and super light...easier to carry than my G23. When I *know* I am going somewhere that *could* be a higher threat (MARTA ride anywhere, going to downtown, etc.) I take my G23.

If I think I might need to take a rifle of some sort...well, since leaving the service, I don't go places that would normally require that level of protection.

44 Mag Mike: So you'd feel better about confronting a guy doing a mass shooting with an AR type rifle and emptying mag after mag of 5.56 mm rifle ammo?
Or a jihadist wielding an AK pattern rifle with 30 round mags or a 75-round drum?

The difference in stopping power between a .40 and .45 is significant to you? 3.3" of barrel vs. 3.1" of barrel is OK?

When I say I'm thinking of carrying a different gun in light of the mass public shooting terrorism threat, I'm talking about a full sized pistol with good accuracy at 25 or even 50 yards.

I have been considering a 10mm with a 15 rounder for a long time now, but not because of Orlando. The odds of that being the situation in which I find myself are lower than a lightning strike.

You don't already carry a 10MM? As much as I see you post about that caliber I just naturally assumed (I know...I know!) that was already your EDC.

I carry one occasionally, but it is a subcompact (Glock 29), so I would rather carry something larger. My daily carry is H&K USP 45C.

I wish H&K would hop on the 10mm bandwagon.

My edc is a S&W SD9VE + one extra mag. That gives me 16+1+16. I dont plan on changing it at this time because i am comfortable with it. I have never had any issues with it either. Im always looking for my next edc but until i find it i will stick with what i have.
